- Left ventricular hypertrophy
- Cardiovascular disease risk: 8.2%
- No signs of renal disease or liver disease
- Not diabetic
- Initial clinic BP: 156/97 mmHg
- ABPM daytime average BP: 148/93 mmHg
- Diagnosed with stage 1 hypertension

The patient has been taking the calcium channel blocker for about a month and is now on the optimal tolerated dose.

You measure her blood pressure to see how well the treatment is working.

The patient's clinic blood pressure is now 146/92 mmHg.
